First is our Sew Addicted Charity Sewing Club. This club meets the first Saturday of every month at 10 am. We often have a representative from local charities come to speak with us about what they do and what we, as a sewing group, can do to help them. Since beginning the club, we have made comfort blankets for the American Red Cross, blankets, pillows, "adopt me" vests and bandanas, and more for the SBK Animal Center, and we are working on a quilt to be auctioned off for the American Cancer Society as well as making Chemo Caps for those undergoing chemotherapy. The cost of the club is $5 a month (or $60/year) which is generally used to buy material for the projects. We also do fun things like "Sew and Tell" in which members bring in personal projects they have made. We usually bring food to enjoy while we talk.
Next is our Creative Hearts Quilting Therapy Club that meets every Thursday morning at 10 am. We learn a new method and sew it out in one or more squares every meeting. Some members choose to make a quilt out of each new square while others piece the squares together for a unique montage quilt. Sometimes this class may help Sew Addicted with a quilting project. Since we bring in an instructor, the cost of this club is $20 per month.
Beginning this Saturday the Itchin' to be Stitchin' Machine Embroiderer's Club will be meeting on the 3rd Saturday of every month at 10 am. It is open to all owners of machine embroidery machine, no matter what brand of machine or where you bought it. The cost of this club is $50 per year.
